In addition to its veterinary services, Naperville Animal Hospital provides pet owners with boarding and grooming options. Open seven days a week, the Naperville, Illinois, modern facility is fully heated and air-conditioned. To stay up-to-date on trends within the industry, Naperville Animal Hospital belongs to several industry-based organizations, including the American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA).
Established in 1933, the AAHA promotes high-quality standards and supports small-animal practices across North America. Currently the non-profit organization represents more than 5,500 practices in Canada and the United States.
In August 2014, the AAHA announced it would add Veterinary Pet Insurance (VPI) as a preferred business provider for pet wellness plans. This move, which went into effect on July 1, is an attempt by the AAHA to improve pet health and increase pet visits to local veterinary hospitals. According to the organization, studies have indicated a decrease in preventative pet care, and by adding VPI, it hopes to make visits more affordable. VPI provides three varying levels of coverage and all plan levels cover a portion of preventative care exams.
